The site is a true country pub in Kintbury, not too far from Newbury and Hungerford. The property has a well-stocked and homely bar, a slightly more formal dining room, private dining and the most incredible garden, with the river on one side and the canal on the other. The menu champions local and seasonal produce, making the most of game when it is in season.We pride ourselves on serving up real ales, classic pub dishes and locally-sourced menus crafted from quality ingredients. Nestled between the River Kennet and the Kennet and Avon canal, our eight beautifully-appointed bedrooms make for a luxurious country retreat. Candidate Requirements
Be reliable, conscientious, punctual and well turned out
Take pride in what they do and genuinely care
Lead by example and be proactive and always busy at work
Have at least 2 years’ experience in a busy, high quality full service pub or restaurant, ideally 2AA Rosette standard
Be competent behind the bar including cellar management and coffees with a flair for cocktails.
Have experience in a fast paced and large volume establishment and enjoy this type of environment.
Be a real foodie
Have great wine knowledge
Be competent and organised handling functions,
bookings, event planning etc
Have a good understanding of labour control
Cope well under pressure
Be hungry to learn and progress
Be able to adhere to company standards and procedures
