131 bedroom 4 star hotel on the outskirts of Winchester, seek a full time Junior Sous Chef to join their Kitchen team. The role is 40 hours per week (including weekends, evenings and bank holidays)
This is an exciting time as the hotel is in the process of a major refurbishment and we have just launched the opening of our new 1AA Rosette accredited restaurant.
Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidate should display excellent communication skills, along with the ability to manage and organise themselves and the kitchen team effectively and efficiently in the absence of the Sous Chef & Head Chef.
Applicants must be enthusiastic, professional and passionate as well as demonstrating creativity and working well within a team. In addition, the successful candidate will:
Have a passion for fresh food
Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
Candidate Requirements
Candidates must have at least 1 year’s experience in a Demi Chef de Partie role in a quality kitchen.
They should also be qualified to NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Professional Cookery and also have their Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification
