- Sous Chef at luxurious boutique hotel restaurant. Part of a small group that operates to a high standard with several restaurants from 2AA - 4AA Rosettes
What we expect- Oversee the kitchen staff, delegating tasks and ensuring efficient workflow
- Collaborate with the head chef in creating and developing new menu items
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Assist in managing inventory levels for food and kitchen supplies
- Coordinate with suppliers
- Work with the head chef to develop and monitor budgets
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Assist in creating staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all kitchen shifts.
- Manage kitchen staff performance
- Assist in planning and executing culinary events
- Lead by example and demonstrate strong leadership skills in the kitchen.
