- Exciting opportunity in a private stately home 3 Rosette property, pushing for 4 Rosettes. Great Chance to work in one of Yorkshires Finest Venues!! We are a 5* accommodation and wedding venue with 16 rooms in North Yorkshire and looking to recruit Chefs on a variety of levels to join this successful team. This position will suit Chefs who are passionate about food and show flair and imagination. This North Yorkshire award-winning property has an excellent reputation in the local area and beyond and has recently been added into the Michelin Guide. The kitchen uses local and seasonal ingredients and has an amazing kitchen garden along with its own seed propagator in a covered glasshouse allowing the Chefs to pick the freshest of produce from the doorstep.
What we expect:
Contracted Hours: Between 45 - Shift pattern is 5 days over 7, no split shifts
Live-In: Yes
The ideal candidates will have experience with quality fresh food and a passion and willingness to learn culinary craft. Having the right attitude to learn and work as part of this prestigious team is a must. Own transport essential.
PLEASE NOTE: Own transport required due to the location. Limited public transport available.
Salary range - £11.50 - £12.50 p/h - FULL / PART TIME
We are looking to recruit a FULL/PART-TIME Night Porter. You would be working in rotation with our existing Nights Team, with your nightly shift being 9.5 hours (10:30pm until 8.00am) across the full week, including weekends.
Smart casual attire (no jeans/trainers). Black trousers, white shirt.
Immediate start required.
Duties will include: -
• Ensuring the hotel and its residents/guests are secure and safe.
• Night porter will be required to serve on resident's bar and training will be given on our till/EPOS system. You will also receive training on our bookings software system “Rezlynx“ so that beverages/extras can be charged to guest rooms accordingly.
• Checking residents in and out (for late arrivals and early departures).
• Setting-up for functions (arranging furniture as required according to the function: trolley provided for ease).
• Other additional duties outlined by the management team.
Experience of Front of House and Banqueting is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. References required on application. Training will also be given on our fire alarm procedure.
