Role:
Contracted Hours: Approx 48 - The hours worked will be negotiable with the head chef, it is a key focus for us to ensure that all chefs have a good work life balance.
Live-In: No, The role does not offer live in accommodation and would require the successful applicant arrnage transport.
We are looking for a sous chef to work with the head chef "Richard" in running the kitchen and bring in experience that will enable us to achieve 2AA Rosettes which is one of our short-term goals.
The right applicant for this job should have at least 1 year’s expertise in the role of Sous chef and as well as being able to cook to a high standard they should know how to manage a team, write rotas, mange food costs and maintain the highest levels of compliance for EHO.
The kitchen has a full-time team of 6 chefs and 4 kitchen porters, and we are open 7 days a week with a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. Part of the responsibilities for the sous chef would be events which all require a slightly different approach so the ideal candidate should be able to take on small projects within the regular routine of the week.
