Typically, this business is busy all year round, if not somewhat busier in the winter. They experience many return custom along with a large number of passing visitors.
Live in is available and will be discussed as part of a package for the right Chef de Partie.
Role and Responsibilities
This opportunity is for s strong Sous Chef who can fit in well with a small close nit team. There is a strong classically trained Head Chef, and a hard-working happy Chef de Partie to fit in between. You would need to run the kitchen alone with a junior Chef for 3 days of the week in Chefs absence on the quieter days of the week. The rest of the week would involve working the pass and plating food with a full team of 6 in total including a KP. Things are set up well already so there is little in the ways of paperwork to be done.
Within the next 2-3 months the right person will have the opportunity to take the Head Chef position, with plans for the current owner to open a new property of which the current Chef will take on. This will allow a much larger salary and bonus structure within the first 12 months.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a Sous Chef with a credible background, based on this property offering all locally sourced and fresh food cooked to order dishes. A consistent moderate to high volume all year round will mean you will need a proven background at this level, and the ability to hit the ground running. This is a good opportunity for someone who is wanting to push to the first Head Chef role in the next 12 months.

There is live in available, this is located on site, and will be only short term if possible. The package for the right person can be negotiable to suit.
The ideal candidate should be able to drive as the location is somewhat rural, and the nearest bus stop is approx. 20 mins walk away from the property.
The property closes on Boxing day each year, and Christmas service involving approx. 2 hours of prep and one service sitting. Home by 2-3pm
